I just spent a bunch of hours shopping for, baking, cooling, dressing, and delivering valentine's day cookies for the people at work. They were happy to get them, so I was very happy. They said they were very yum, and i must admit, based on my incessant sampling while baking them, I would have to agree. They worked out nicely. They were shortbread cookies with coconut and almond, and they had pink butter icing and coconut shavings on top. They were fun to make. Jules helped me. I made them from a recipe in Martha Stewart's Living...how cool is that?? Martha is great.
Jules and I have not done anything too exciting for valentine's day other than that. But last night we went to the poli sci wine and cheese, and then to Three Amigos for delectable tofu chimichangas with brandy sauce...YUM.
The wine and cheese was fun. I got sort of teed up, and like, wore my contacts and everything, and some eye make-up, and alot of boys were flirting with me...hehe, that was cool, cuz usually i've got skater jeans and a sweater on, no make-up, and nerd glasses, and I keep to myself. Then jules told me I was the most beautiful girl he'd EVER SEEN, and that he was madly in love with me! WOW! That was so nice. Haha, he's such a lovebug lately.I just ate a doctor goodfood bowl. A doctor goodfood bowl has eggplant, and tofu, and broccoli, and carrots, and onions, and red pepper, and green beans, and mushrooms, and this really spicy peanut sauce. It was so good!
I bought this hilarious and bizarre 70's movie called PrayTV for like, 3.50 at Chen's. Its got Dabney Coleman in it, and this really large woman who dresses like dolly parton, and George Clinton did the music...its messed up. I love it.
