war
I don't know what to say about this war. its hard to know what to say about a war that has begun. Its easy to say things about stopping a war that hasn't happened yet. Canada is in a weird position. Things look better than they could have ended up looking. But its not really feeling like that all the way. Being lied to feels weird. its like matt said about the way britain handled the situation until very recently, telling the people the war was not going to happen, while the whole time amassing troups. We'll see. Its odd assessing the situation here. Im glad for a friend of mine who's HELLA smart, like, chats with noam and shit. He keeps it real. makes me feel strong. He's right about alot of stuff. Its important to stay out there. Important to continue to lend voice to this movement. And again, like melanie said, we don't all have time to shit in some doorway in protest of the brutalization of the people of iraq? so its important to keep this movement from being marginalized. that threat is always there. ITs still an amazing time, even while watching the bombs drop. but less. something feels distinctly less wonderful. yeah. uh, you think? yeah. i feel lame about alot of stuff, but really, there is only this war right now, everything else is human error, and seems distinctly innocent right now. i guess that's a good thing. all that's important in this world is being a decent person, and knowing that we all have to grow old alone. That's a big one. Its good to be alone, but to remain connected. Not as easy as it looks. but worth the effort. Things need to become defined. This is a strange war. But i guess all wars are bizarre when they are happening. THey are. Reading about them, one realizeds they are all chaos. THis is chaos unfolding in a rational world. a modern war. those are the strangest of all.
